As it has been the case in the past few years, I started planning the ODTUG EPM & Analytics community meetups in the New York, New Jersey, Boston, Connecticut Northeast region of the United States early in January. First up in my 2020 meetups calendar would be the New York City EPM community meetup usually held at the Park Ave. Oracle offices right next to Grand Central. However my calendar didn’t exactly follow the Corona calendar…
#Data4Good is an independent initiative in the data and analytics communities that is tailored for different data user groups to their own specific user engagement goals, themes and analytics proficiency levels. “Data4Good is a movement that brings like-minded people together to utilise their skills, knowledge and passion to help make a positive impact on the world. There is so much underutilised data out there that could be harnessed to create a positive impact on health, education, human rights, the environment and much more.”

At Kscope19 we worked hard, played hard and #data4good harder! ODTUG Board Members always start off Kscope a few days earlier than most attendees. It takes a lot of passion, dedication and vision for the community to be a part of this team!
The ODTUG Board of Directors is a group of volunteers elected by ODTUG members to serve the community at large. What board members all have in common is a genuine dedication to offering our members the best technical content, access to a large network of well acclaimed industry experts, exposure to Oracle product management, and countless professional growth opportunities. All ODTUG board members also share a sincere appreciation for how the ODTUG network has played a critical role in setting the course of their technical and leadership professional paths.
There’s no better time to reflect on the accomplishments, and lessons learnt in the past 365 days than in the last week of the year! Among a myriad of other things that I experienced in 2018, something that I felt really good about was giving both an active indirect and direct contribution towards tackling Climate Change. In this blog post I aim to visualize data sets that have the potential to influence the readers to in turn take direct and/or indirect #ClimateAction in 2019!
